Here is another map like piece, providing a kind of ordnance survey of my subconscious at the time through personally resonant materials, marks and lines. The stains in the lower section were created with a syringe filled with tea.

I really really love your art!
thanks so much again, It means so much coming from such a talented photographer and poet!
Thank you for your compliment 🙂
So this painting with tea, coffee, alcohol etc. thing, is it a medium that is trending right now or have you always incorporated it into your art? Your paintings look like dreams.
Hi Fela, well this painting is from a few years ago and using tea was really an experiment that I haven’t really explored much since. Have you noticed many artists using tea/coffee/alcohol recently? I’m honoured that my work looks like dreams to you. Similarly, a reviewer once wrote
“A confused and troubling ordering of digital noise into visual sequences were found in the work of John Macormac: five works on black card overloaded with an assortment of found fragments and synthetic desire, pages from a restless dream diary puncturing the anxious white walls like wormholes.”
