cross composition

under a blackened sky

Scrim, photocopied photographs, oil bar, compressed charcoal and glued pigment are combined in this square composition. The palette is subdued. The top right area echoes a newspaper image of a seascape filled with war ships. All of the image appears to have been worn and distressed by time and the elements.

    1. Thanks Doubleblue, yes I definitely like to collect things that are weathered like fragments of painted wood from beaches. I find the salty sea and natural processes of erosion add to their visual value, there is a greater level of fine detail to explore.
